Dr. Anish Koka, a Philadelphia cardiologist and chronicler of medicine explains why COVID deaths at LTC facilities were so high and sadly, how many of them might have been prevented. Dr. Koka laments that frontline doctors weren’t listened to and critiques the heavy reliance on public health officials and bureaucrats whose protocols may have done more harm than good. He fears the politicizing of science and believes we saw much of this on display during the crisis.
